Most members join under one of these four categories.

Memberships run on the financial year. All memberships are pro-rata through to 30 June, so you only pay for the part of the year you get. This period runs 25 September 2026 to 30 June 2027 — 279 days, charged at 279/365 of the annual rate shown below. After that, membership renews each 1 July for a full year at the full annual rate.
While we move all members onto the financial year, every membership runs to 30 June 2027 whichever term is chosen. Multi-year terms resume from 1 July 2027.

Corporate Member CIFIA $2,200/yr For regulated financial institutions and product issuers — licensed under an AFSL, ACL or as a Corporate Authorised Representative, with Shariah certification for active products. Individual Member IIFIA $880/yr For individuals who have completed tertiary qualifications in Islamic finance (in Australia or abroad). May upgrade to Fellow after 5 years’ continuous membership. or $2,200 for 3 years Special Consultancies IFIAS $2,000/yr For consultancies, legal practitioners and other organisations keen to practise in, or keep abreast of, the industry. or $5,000 for 3 years Associate Member AIFIA $550/yr For those currently studying Islamic finance, or just starting out and keen to be involved in the industry. or $1,320 for 3 years

Other memberships

Special Corporate Member SIFIA $1,100/yr A reduced-rate corporate category for regulated entities — for example smaller firms or authorised representatives connected to a corporate member. or $3,300 for 3 years Individual Fellow Member FIFIA $550/yr For long-standing individual members (5+ years’ continuous membership) recognised as Fellows of the Association. or $1,320 for 3 years Lifelong Member LIFIA $550/yr For those who have served the industry over many years — board members, advocates and published authors on Islamic finance — as assessed by the board. or $1,320 for 3 years
